Primary Responsibilities

  • Animate Loyola High School’s Catholic and Jesuit mission, especially with faculty, students, parents, and staff.
  • Direct the administration, operation, and educational development of the academic, co-curricular and formational programs of the school.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute the school’s educational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the president and other key stakeholders in developing and acting on the school’s strategic vision.
  • Serve on the School’s leadership team along with the President and the President’s direct reports.
  • Oversee student behavioral and academic disciplinary procedures.
  • Serve on various School and Board Committees to foster unity of purpose, common understanding and teamwork.
  • Interview, hire, supervise and evaluate teachers and the key members of the academic staff responsible for academics, athletics, spiritual formation, Christian service, counselling, discipline, admissions.

Desired Qualifications

  • The principal will be an inspiring, mission-oriented leader who is dynamic, organized, well-rounded, engaging and who empowers growth and innovation inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, the principal will:
    • Be committed to the Loyola mission of being a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition.
    • Have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience.
    • Hold a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s degree preferred.
    • Have earned appropriate administrative certifications (or working toward those credentials).

Compensation

  • Salary negotiable within a range of $90,000-$95,000
  • Generous benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as retirement plans.
