One of the unique aspects of a Loyola education is that all juniors and seniors participate in our Loyola Work Experience Program (LWEP). Started in 2003, within this program, students spend one day per week in the offices of our work partners gaining practical, real-world work experiences that will help them find success beyond their academic studies. Loyola currently has over twenty LWEP sponsors, including companies such as: Ford Motor Company, William H. Beaumont Health System, IHS Markit and DTE Energy. This program also allows Loyola High School to maintain tuition levels at a fraction of other private schools in the metro Detroit area. In addition to the financial assistance this program provides to the school and its students, it yields real world benefits for our young men. Working in a business environment, Loyola students acquire desirable job experience and marketable skills, develop a network of business contacts, refine a strong work ethic, and better understand the expectations of future employers.
