Thanks to the efforts of Big Green and Ms. Kathy Gross, Loyola now has an urban garden to call its own! Last week, members of Big Green, along with Ms. Gross’s freshmen filled planters with soil and planted various vegetable seeds. The first harvest will be in July, with a second harvest in October.
The harvested food will be used by Loyola’s food service program for meals and by next year’s Culinary Arts class.
