Congratulations to Senior Carlos Smith who took home the $25,000 scholarship first prize in the Detroit Pistons Black History Month Scholarship competition this past March.  Smith, who has also been named the top debater in the state of Michigan, won the scholarship for his poem on the topic of “Powering Humanity” and was featured on a Pistons halftime segment.
