The mission of the Loyola athletic program is to engage the mind, to elevate the spirit, and stimulate the best effort of all who are associated with the school. Loyola Cross Country is a varsity-only sport which competes in the Catholic League and in Division 3 for MHSAA post-season tournament.
Football – John Callahan
Loyola Football is a junior varsity and varsity sport, competing in the AA Division of the Catholic League and Division 7 in the MHSAA playoffs.

Loyola Bowling is varsity-only sport that competes in the Catholic League West Division and Division 3 in the MHSAA tournament.
Basketball – Dennis Morey
The Loyola Basketball program has a freshman, junior varsity, and varsity team. All three compete in the Catholic League AA Division and the varsity team is in Division 3 for the MHSAA post-season tournament.

Rugby – Fr. Adam DeLeon SJ
Loyola Rugby is a club varsity sport and the only urban high school rugby club in the nation. The team competed in the state playoffs in only their second year of existence.
