Loyola was recently awarded a $500 grant from the Michigan Community Service Commission, in partnership with Michigan Nonprofit Association, Youth Service America, and the Corporation for National and Community Service! The funds will be used toward a Global Youth Service Day volunteer project on April 12.

In preparation for April 12, Kathy Gross’s Earth Science classes are designing experiments and projects to teach elementary students about alternative fuel sources and global warming. It will include solar powered car races, recycling relays, and wind generators to show the value of reusable energy sources.
