Counselor Mrs. Hunter Recognized by Governor’s Office for FASFA Achievement

Mrs. Hunter received recognition from the Governor’s Office for achieving (and exceeding) Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s statewide “Governor’s FAFSA Challenge.” The goal is for every high school to increase their FAFSA completion rate among graduates of the Class of 2020.

The governor is challenging Michigan’s 2019 FAFSA completion rate was 55.9%, which was a decrease of 0.7% from the previous year. Michigan College Access Network seeks to achieve 75% statewide completion in 2020.

Davis Greene ’20, was featured on Channel 7 WXYZ to discuss the design and meaning of his original Black History poster that won him a $15k scholarship from the Detroit Pistons.
